Parents' Testimonials for Acol Nursery
(For information about Acol itself click Acol)
I've entrusted my two little darlings to Acol and they are both flourishing into smart, open-minded, curious, cosmopolitan and caring members of our community. I'd recommend Acol to anyone who recognises and shares those values.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the whole team at Acol. From his very first day at the nursery, the carers at Acol have treated Leon like family. Maria and Simona in particular gave L O a level of care we couldn't have imagined before and it was so important for us. We value their care so much.
Once again, we would like to acknowledge that the team at Acol has brought the most beautiful values to L O upbringing. We see how their careful guidance has made L O into a cheerful, fair, sharing, autonomous, tidy, and respectful young man. We would like to thank you for that and so many other things.
The 3 of us have created really strong bonds with you guys and we will miss you so much.

The nursery provides a warm and safe environment. Caelan is always so happy and seems to enjoy his day when we pick him. We are happy to see him interacting well with the other kids. Thank you very much. Cheers,

Olivia loves nursery and is very happy every day and has developed in leaps and bounds since starting at Acol three months ago. The staff are the best thing about the nursery - they are extremely great with the toddlers and take extremely good care of them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Acol to a prospective parent. If you ever need a reference let me know - I am a fan! :)

We are very sad that Manon will not be at Acol any more - she has found numerous friendships and bonds of love at Acol, and we are so profoundly grateful for the care and love she received since she joined. Her joy and happiness at Acol and the many stories she tells us at home about her day and her friends are a testimony to the quality of care that Acol gives to all children. We will make sure we give this testimony for you to use in future communication with other parents, as we have been very happy with Acol and its wonderful staff.
Our decision is mainly driven by the willingness to live closer to family as Manon is still little. We will be moving to France so she can be closer to her grandparents, cousin and auntie and be exposed to the language and culture in her early years. Michelangelo started the nursery in January and I can give only positive feedback; Samra and Cherice are so precious to our family, we feel as if they were part of our family... :-) Michelangelo is happy to come to the nursery; he is enjoying, making good friends and building important relationships. He is developing a lot. Every day I can see an improvement. And I would like to thank you and all the Butterfly team for this.
I also appreciated the Sport Day; that was a fantastic day, the enthusiasm and energy of the team was extraordinary.

Leonor was one of the first children here when Acol opened. She started when she was 8 months so it has been a long beautiful journey. Leonor has progressed well and has a great personality. She is picking up things really quickly. The teaching styles of the teachers are supporting her learning style.

Overall I have had a good experience in Acol nursery and enjoyed seeing my child progress. The friendly staff have made the experience comfortable and the staff listened to my ideas, and addressed my concerns.

My child has been at Acol nursery for just under a year in total, I couldn't be happier with her progress. Before visiting Acol I viewed 3 other nurseries of which I wasn't completely satisfied with, but I was instantly impressed with Acol. The atmosphere of the nursery is fantastic; every member of staff is exceptionally good.
My child has progressed so well since joining Acol. Her confidence has grown so much, and she has built so many lovely relationships with children and her teachers. I will be sad to see her leave but will definitely bring her back to visit everyone, and I thank every member of staff for all they have done especially Cherice and Samra.

Our experience of Acol is very good. The staff are warm, welcoming and they really seem to care about our little boy.
Our son has been going to Acol Nursery for 8 months and he absolutely loves it. From the the moment when we drop him off in the mornings to the moment we pick him up he has a big smile on his face. In the beginning him going to nursery was difficult for me, but the staff made my son and myself feel at ease and really happy very quickly. Every one of the staff members is absolutely brilliant. They are kind, fun, seem to have endless amounts of energy, and are extremely knowledgeable.
The atmosphere at Acol nursery is homely, warm and fun, what is more it is also a highly educational environment. We could not have picked a better place and highly recommend it to anyone looking to find a suitable nursery for their child.

It was just to say a big thank you to Cherice and Samra as William is so happy now at nursery and they are doing an amazing job of building his confidence. All of his key workers have been great, so thanks also to Millie and Jane. He has just really come on of late in terms of confidence and clearly has a lot of fun. When I dropped him off a couple of weeks ago, his face lit up when he heard Samra in the room. He was also about to wobble as I left (he always seems to cry when I drop him off!) and Samra intervened brilliantly and he was smiling and waving to me at the window. It was the first time I had dropped him and he hadn't cried! We just wanted to flag this and say thanks.
“There are two West Hampstead nurseries run by a local not-for-profit provider, Camden Community Nurseries — Acol (for 0-5s) and Sington (2-5s). My daughter has been at Acol (on Acol Road) for 2.5 yrs and adores it, and lots of local families have great experiences of Sington (on Broomsleigh St, off Mill Lane). The staff are really lovely (most of the Sington staff have worked at Acol so I know them too) and create a warm, happy environment. I shall be very sad when my daughter leaves in September to go to school.”
“I would second Acol. My girl has been there just over 2 years. Loves it, loves it, loves it. Other places will ‘look’ better (and we have seen them all from fordwich to quex): the parents try to update the decor, but this is a slow process. Much more importantly: the staff are really engaged and the kids thrive. Make sure you check it out before you decide.”
“More praise for Acol! our little boy adores going, He's learning a lot, while having fun - not only numbers and letters, but social skills and confidence. The staff are brilliant — warm, imaginative and enthusiastic, which is what kids need and love.”

Our twins have had a fabulous time at the nursery, being well looked after, well fed & well entertained. I'm sure they have thoroughly enjoyed the different languages they learn & all the fun songs... We especially like the tidy up song! We're all very sad to be leaving; if only we could move Acol nursery to our new house.
Thank you to Reanne, Ramona, Annie, Ann Marie, Constance, Heavenly, Cherice, Jackie, Zorna and the others who care for the twins. You truly have been amazing. We'll all really miss you.
